One of the most beneficial aspects of being a member of the New Mexico Trucking Association is strengthing the influence of the New Mexico trucking industry at the State level. The Association serves as a clearinghouse for all kinds of information about the highway transportation industry and general business, providing an exclusive service not otherwise available to members.
The New Mexico Trucking Association provides a ready source of accurate information about the New Mexico trucking industry and business environment. The Association sponsors or co-sponsors seminars on a wide variety of subjects including: safety, hazardous materials and business management.
The trucking industry in New Mexico provides 46,313 jobs, or one out of 17 in the state.
Awards
The winners of the 2009 New Mexico Truck Driving Championships held in Albuquerque were: Grand Champion Dion Saiz, of FedEx Freight; Rookie of the Year Gary Sanders, of Con-Way Freight; and Team Champions ABF Freight.
