Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association Logo

The Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association was organized to promote the common business interests of persons engaged in the motor transportation industry and is dedicated to effectively representing the concerns of the trucking industry to members, government and regulatory agencies and the general public. PMTA is further pledged to assist member companies in managing the impact of change in the trucking industry and to enhance the professional and economic growth of its members.

PMTA represents the trucking and motor carrier industry of Pennsylvania by maintaining a respected reputation on Capitol Hill. The Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association ensures that Legislators understand how thousands of bills and new laws affect the trucking and motor carrier industry, truck drivers, bus operators, and common carriers. PMTA builds government contacts and defends and protects the trucking and motor carrier industry.

The Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association is affiliated with the American Trucking Associations , which represents PMTA members at the federal level, assists with interstate common carrier issues, and provides research and national trends on issues affecting the trucking and transportation industry. PMTA creates a positive image for the trucking industry through activities like Pennsylvania's Road Team, Truck Driving Championships, National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, Youth Driving Programs, and Safety Brakes.
